Welcome!
A professional violinist with a passion for teaching, Marin is a multifaceted musician based in Houston. She is a former violinist of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and is open to students of all levels and available to perform for any events you have in mind.
Who I am:
Marin is a violinist in Houston and teaches and performs in a variety of events and concerts around town. She performs with the Kinetic Ensemble in Houston and is a former violinist of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Over the summer she has performed with the Missouri River Arts Festival as a leader of the string section.
Prior to her time in St. Louis, she received her M.M. and S.D. in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan where she studied with David Halen on a full-tuition scholarship. Additionally, a lover of chamber music, her quartet at the U of M received the Rosseels String Quartet Scholarship.
A Houston native, Marin grew up in Sugar Land and received her B.M. in Violin Performance from Rice University where she studied with Kathleen Winkler and Kenneth Goldsmith. Currently residing in the Memorial neighborhood, she loves being back in town and enjoying the incredible Houston sunshine.
She has taught students of all ages and loves to provide a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere for all of her students. During COVID, in order to accommodate for her students Marin pivoted her teaching to an online platform and now offers lessons in-person and online.
